I installed the L.E.D. Stick lights in all my freezer doors August 13, 2008. The Stick lights are very sufficient lighting. I have not replaced a power supply or a single L.E.D. Stick. My savings are $2,980.00 per year on my 45 freezer doors alone and I expect the same from changing my overhead lighting to L.E.D. Tubes Lights. Anything you can do in a commercial business to keep your demand charge lower and lower your power bill even more is worth it. I’m very pleased with my L.E.D. Lighting System.
The best example that I can give you is the power savings I receive on my road sign. I have no question about the savings because it is on a separate power meter. My power bill went from $99.00 per month to $32.00 per month. I do wish the Super Strips had been available at the time so the sign would be an even brighter. I’m pleased with it like it is.

To potential LED light customers

We installed LED lights in our 70 doors of frozen foods earlier this year. Beside the fact that they give off that “come buy me light” in my case…I haven’t had to change a bulb or ballast since they were installed…But the thing I like most is the fact the LED light doesn’t give off heat like regular high out-put bulbs and ballast, therefore we were able to raise our temperature 3 to 5 degrees in the low end section of our rack coolant system {our frozen doors} and that alone sure helps your checkbook when the electricity bill comes around. Really looking forward to produce case lights.

After changing my fluorescent lighting to L.E.D. Lighting Systems’, savings became apparent when we began receiving lower power bills. Our customers like the fresh clean appearance the L.E.D. lights project onto our products. There is very little heat generated by the L.E.D. lights and that helps our cooling energy bill.

When James Kilgore approached me about LED lighting I was very skeptical. He showed me a formula that calculated energy usage of my present freezer lights vs. LED lighting; I was truly shocked at the savings the LED’s showed. We bought and had installed 25 doors of our freezers and plan on converting the other 25 doors in the future. We also ordered 15 doors of refurbished freezer doors with LED’s already installed. Now LED replacement for overhead lights is available and as time and funding come available we plan to convert all lighting to LED.

I feel LED lighting is an area that we as retailers can greatly benefit to help cut increasingly rising operating cost that cut more and more into our PROFIT.
